PARTY AT SUNNYDALE Manager Theo Kerhulas is giving everyone an opportunity to have their own New Year’s Eve Party at Sunnydale Thursday night. Those desiring to have dinner and later dance and take part in the fun, may make reservations for one or more and enjoy the annual event with friends. Mr. Kerhulas said Tuesday that reservations for tables should be made well in advance. Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Kellogg of Washington, D. C., and their son, Bruce, student at the University of Chicago are spending the holi days at their Tryon home, Green Hill Farm, near Gowensville. Mr. Kellogg is secretary of the Milk Industry Foundation. The Korean laundresses on our island do our laundry the same way their people have done for centuries: they squat down on the floor beside the tub and work in that position for hours. An Air Force clerk, who felt sorry for them, spent an entire evening laboriously constructing a large table for the washtubs. The next morning he. dropped around to see how the table had improved work ing conditions. The table had been moved to the center of the room, the tubs had been filled, and the women were industriously scrub bing away—squatting atop the table!—Reader's Digest.
